| Stor-Age Announces Move Into Pretoria Market | |||||
|
Stor-Age announced yesterday that it had recently moved into the Pretoria market with the commencement of development of a new self storage facility in Centurion. The development is a significant landmark, as it signifies the establishment of the brand in a fourth city in South Africa.
The new property boasts a corner site location on Samrand Avenue and Rietspruit Road and has excellent visibility to commuters accessing the N1 highway. On completion, the purpose-built facility will offer 8 500m2 of space across two floors and comprise of upwards of 700 self storage units ranging in size from 3m2 to 30m2. Stor-Age CEO Gavin Lucas commented, "We've been planning our entrance into the Pretoria market since 2009. The development in Centurion sits firmly within our pre-defined strategy. We looked extensively at acquisition opportunities, however the reality is that there are no existing self storage facilities in Pretoria which meet our quality and location standards. Pretoria is yet to see a great quality self storage product, delivered to the market in an outstanding location. Stor-Age has defined itself in the self storage market with a continued commitment to building quality properties in high profile locations. We believe that this strategy will stand us in good stead in the medium to long term." Facts & Figures
