Stor-Age announced today that it has completed its due diligence and it will proceed with the development of a new R62 million flagship self storage facility on the existing Killarney Hotel site.

The Killarney Hotel is a well known landmark location in the greater Cape Town area and its position at the intersection of Blaauwberg and Koeberg Roads enjoys excellent exposure to one of only two main entrance points into the West Coast suburbs. The site is surrounded by a broad base of residential and commercial users including the residential areas of Milnerton, Table View, Parklands, Sunningdale, Blaauwberg, West Beach and Big Bay, as well as the commercial areas of Montague and Killarney Gardens and the mixed use Century City.

The 9 000 m² site will see upwards of 10 500 m² of GLA being developed over multiple floors and it will offer upwards of 800 self storage units. The new store will be built by Faircape Construction, with the internal fit out completed by self storage specialists Steel Self Storage Systems.
