Careers: Operations Manager (Cape Town)
Position available in Cape Town
As part of the expansion plan, Stor-Age is seeking to appoint an Operations Manager to manage one its new or existing stores in the greater Cape Town area.
The successful candidates will be responsible for the renting of self-storage space to prospective tenants to achieve our long term occupancy targets as well as managing all aspects of the property e.g. day-to-day management of the store, management of support staff, tenant administration and documentation.
This is an excellent opportunity for ambitious individuals hungry for an opportunity to prove themselves in a dynamic business environment, keen to demonstrate their sales and management abilities in a growing, entrepreneurial company. In the long term, and after proving their ability, there will be a career opportunity for the successful candidate to take on various more senior roles within the group.

The candidate and the role:
- Confidence and willingness to take full responsibility for operating a multi-million Rand facility
- Sales orientated with the skill and confidence to “close the deal”, converting enquiries into signed-up tenants
- Proactive in following-up leads to generate sales
- Able to establish rapport and relationships with businesses in the trading area to generate sales
- Able to perform administrative tasks with attention to detail, in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Maintains sound business relationships with customers
- Ability to work independently, in a challenging environment
- Be IT literate (email, Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Have excellent communication skills in English – telephone, oral, written, email
- Be professional in appearance, attitude and work ethic
- Hard working and able to multi-task
- Minimum of Grade 12 education
- Relevant work experience
- Own transport and valid driver’s license
